South Rim & Village Restaurants

Restaurants at the Maswik Lodge

Maswik Cafeteria

Located in the Maswick Lodge, they serve cafeteria-style food with quick service and quite a few menu options. This is one of the best options for large groups since there is ample seating and large tables.

Maswik Pizza Pub

Also located in the Maswick lodge, this is a good place to get a drink and watch a game. Drinks are reasonably priced, and you can enjoy freshly baked pizzas and salads. So you don’t miss out on the action back home, the Mas has four televisions that show sporting events from around the world

Restaurants at the Bright Angel Lodge

Fred Harvey Burger

Located in the Bright Angel Lodge, the Fred Harvey Burger is your best bet for a good, moderately priced meal in Grand Canyon Village.  They serve Southwest and American style meals such as fajitas, burgers and Navajo Tacos, a local favorite.

Arizona Steakhouse

Also located in the Bright Angel Lodge, the Arizona Steakhouse is a nice 4-star restaurant with great food. They are open for lunch and dinner and there is usually a fairly long wait for dinner during the busy season. Make the most of it by grabbing a drink from the bar and enjoying the small deck that overlooks the canyon while you wait.

Harvey House Tavern

The best place to get a drink in the Bright Angel Lodge, this cozy little bar also gets some good live music from time to time. Aside from reasonably priced drinks, there is also an espresso bar that is a good stop for your morning caffeine fix and a pastry.

Bright Angel Fountain

Located on the backside of the Bright Angel Lodge only a few yards from the rim, this is an incredibly popular place to enjoy some gourmet ice cream on a hot summer day. They also serve pre-made hot dogs, sandwiches, and drinks. Trust us, it’s worth the wait in line to enjoy the incredible canyon view with a cone!

Restaurants at the El Tovar

El Tovar Restaurant

The Grand Canyon’s only 5-star restaurant is located in the El Tovar Lodge and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. Dinner usually requires a reservation, and both dinner and lunch are fairly pricey. Breakfast is the best bargain, and if you get there early you can get a canyon view table or a cozy spot next to the fireplace. Try out the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, a glass of fresh squeezed OJ and one of their homemade pastries.

El Tovar Lounge

The ET Lounge is the best place to get a drink on the South Rim. They make top-notch cocktails, have some great beers on tap, and they serve some good quality bar food. The best part of this water hole however is the back porch where you can enjoy your beverage outside with a canyon view.

Restaurants at the Yavapai Lodge

Yavapai Lodge Restaurant

The Yavapai Lodge Restaurant has been recently remodeled and now offers western-style BBQ and a variety of dining options in a great location. Not only convenient for visitors staying at the Yavapai Lodge, the restaurant is also the closest sit-down restaurant to Grand Canyon Visitor Center with relatively easy parking in the Market Plaza parking lot.

Yavapai Tavern

Grab a cocktail, glass of wine or choose from a variety of regional beers at the newly remodeled, cozy Yavapai Tavern in Grand Canyon Village. For those looking for a lighter dinner option, you can sample a variety of their small plates which feature a great mix of southwestern and pub-style food, or try one of their gourmet sandwiches.

Yavapai Coffee Shop

If you need a cup of coffee in the morning to start your day, the Yavapai Coffee shop should be your first stop before heading out to explore the park. They offer espresso drinks, pastries and to-go sandwiches that you can enjoy later along the rim.

Cafe at Mather Point

Located near Mather Point inside Bright Angel Bicycles, the café is a conveniently located, quick option for a coffee, light breakfast or lunch. Try one of their breakfast burritos or just grab a couple of energy bars to store in your backpack.

Canyon Village Market Place and Deli

Located in Market Plaza, they serve good sandwiches as well as some unique salad options. You can dine either inside or outside, or ask for your food to be wrapped up to-go.

Hermits Rest Snack Shack

Like the name says, this small store located at Hermits Rest sells snacks and some souvenirs. As the only place on Hermit Road that sells food or drinks, this small shop is a savior for hungry and thirsty travelers exploring Hermit Road on the park’s shuttle buses.

Desert View Market Place

The only restaurant located in the Desert View Watchtower plaza, they serve cafeteria-style food that works well for a quick meal before heading out on your Grand Canyon adventure. You will also find a small General Store next door where you can grab basic groceries and drinks.

Food Trucks

Fred Harvey Taco Truck

The Fred Harvey Taco Truck is located at the Grand Canyon Visitor’s Center near Mather Point and is open daily from 11:00am – 4:00pm, weather permitting.

Sustain Your Hike Cart

The Sustain Your Hike Cart is generally located along the Rim Trail in the Historic Village near Bright Angel. Hours of operation are from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
