Grand Canyon Fishing Guides

The Grand Canyon has some great fishing, and in particular fly-fishing. Although you can bring your fly rod or casting equipment any time you'll be rafting the Colorado River, or hiking one of its larger side canyons like Bright Angel Creek, the Guides and Outfitters are all located near Lee's Ferry. The Grand Canyon has both Rainbows and Brown trout near Lee's Ferry and the upper canyon. If you head further down river you'll find stripped bass that have been making their way up from Lake Mead, as well as catfish due to the warming water. Grand Canyon National Park is currently working on the removal and study of these fish species due to their role in the decline of the native humpback chub. You'll need an AZ fishing license to try your luck, and you can get one day, multi-day and annual licenses with a trout stamp.
