Peach Springs is a small town near the western Grand Canyon on the Hualapai Indian Reservation. This is the headquarters for the Hualapai Tribe and their only major population center. Aside from local residents the only thing any potential tourists will find in Peach Springs is the Hualapai Lodge. This is the nicest lodge for quite a ways and is the only place in Peach Springs to get a bite to eat.
Located on historic Rt. 66 Peach Springs is also close to Grand Canyon Caverns, and the town of Seligman. The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is approximately 2 hours away. The West Rim, home of the Grand Canyon Skywalk is a little over 2 hours drive, and since it is run by the Hualapai tribe you can get any info you need from the lodge.
The hub of recreational activity in Peach Springs is centered around whitewater rafting on the Colorado River. A half hour drive down a dirt road near town leads you to the Colorado River along Diamond Creek. This is where many of the multi-day Grand Canyon Rafting trips end there journey, but it is also the starting point for the Grand Canyon's only one-day whitewater trip. Peach Springs is also a good place to spend the night before trekking down to Havasu Falls. The trailhead to this amazing destination is about an hour from Peach Springs, which along with Seligman is one of the only places to stay before hiking down to the Falls.
