Seligman lies along Route 66 about 30 minutes west of Williams Arizona. Known as the birthplace of historic Route 66 Seligman is a town the certainly has character. A monument of 1950's Americana, dinners, classic cars, and kitsch tourist stops still dot this one street town.
Seligman has several hotels as well as a KOA for your lodging pleasure. The Snow Cap whose founder was responsible for the Rt. 66 rebirth makes great burgers and shakes, and Westside Lilo's and the Road Kill Cafe are the townns best restaurants. If you're looking for nightlife you can always try the Black Cat, but the truth is there is not a whole lot going on in Seligman.
Aside from Rt. 66 aficionados, most people heading towards Seligman these days are doing a trip to Havasu Falls, or just passing through. The surrounding area is mostly sagebrush, but there is some good Elk and Antelope hunting close buy. Not far from Seligman is Grand Canyon Caverns where you can go on a cave tour, or make use of the lodging and restaurant located on the property.
